Spares for Eddystone Receivers
You can sometimes find genuine spares for Eddystone receivers at the various Radio Rallies held throughout the country. However Ian Nutt M0ECQ has now taken over Dave Simmonds spares stock and is contactable on iandcnutt@msn.com. Ian is still in the process of cataloging his inventory so it can take time to identify the items you are looking for and find them from his stock. He asks for your patience
Ian has a range of parts: IFT's, Mains TX's, coils, hardware etc. etc, including a complete front end in good condition. These items have now been inventoried on the following lists which you can download. People should enquire for parts that they need. Contact Ian on iandcnutt@msn.com

1) Finger Plates
I have had a number of new
fingerplates made for the EA12 and 830 receivers. They will be available in the
next few days. The 830 plates are suitable for all marks except the /4 (which
has a tuning lock and would require the drilling of some extra holes.... but
that should be easy if you have access to a basic workshop kit). They are as
close as possible to original and should be a direct replacement.
Contact Ian by email if you would like to purchase these.
The price is yet to be finalised but will be set to recover the actual costs
plus a small % to go towards the next re-manufacture project.
2)
EA12 'S' meters
Items in the pipeline are new look-alike "S" meters for the EA12 and selected
control knobs which I hope to have available by mid year.
3) Eddystone Instruction Pamphlets.
These are original and are in good to mint condition. They are the leaflets that were issued when the sets were bought new and are printed on the traditional Eddystone glossy paper.
The following are available in reasonable numbers:
870A
710 "All World Six"
670A
888 (note not the A version)
820 (very limited numbers)
EB37
EB35 MkIII Issue 2, July 1976
670C
Each of the above is available post paid in the UK at 6.00 each. Overseas at extra charge.
4) Eddystone Handbooks: spiral bound documents, mostly with original grey/blue covers.
These are original as supplied with the equipment when purchased new.
EC10A2 Series (Covers A2/1, A2/2, A2/3)
EC10A/2
EC10A/2/RM
EC10A
B3905 B&W TV Monitor (A very rare piece of kit, built by Eddystone for Marconi)
The above are available in small numbers. All are good to mint condition.

5)640 Scale plates, still available
Paul Clements and I have had some
scale plates made for the S640 receiver:
Paul needed a replacement and I agreed to have a batch made at the same time so
that they could be offered for sale to Eddystone users.
Thus I have a number of reproduction S640 scales available. They are
screenprinted on a translucent acrylic material and look original: colours,
layout and printing are virtually indistinguishable from the original.
They are available at a cost of GBR£9.00 each plus £2.50 for post and packing
(in the UK: overseas at actual cost). This price is set to recover costs and
does not include any profit.
Buyers will need to drill a central hole and four fixing holes: but this should
be easily done. I have left the scales undrilled so that any variations in the
originl scale can be accommodated.
I would be able to drill the scale for anyone for a modest additional cost
provided they send me their original scale as a template.
I also have a number of spares from three 730/4 receivers that have recently
been dismantled. These were inherited from Dave Simmonds in a partial condition
and I judged that they had gone too far to be worth rebuilding.
